Street Fighter V will come!!

Capcom recently announced its latest Street Fighter title under the name Ultra Street Fighter IV. As the name suggests, it is based in a continuation of Street Fighter IV, but certainly  the plans of the developer  do not stop here.
 

Producer Yoshinori Ono gives in an interview that the main series will not stop at Street Fighter IV, which he also indicates that we certainly can expect Street Fighter V. At the same time we should not see his statement as an hint that the game is already in development, according to Ono there is a lot of manpower and money needed to make it possible to come on a next-gen title. This financial aspect is incidentally also for games, so they will have to invest in the new console and possibly even a new arcade stick.

For the above to fall in place it would just be that the series in the future going to be Free 2 Play, yet he does not want to take the first step in this. Ono prefer to wait until Harada (producer of Tekken) or Hayashi (producer of Dead or Alive) have taken the first step, which he refers to the Free 2 Play Titles Dead or Alive 5 ,Ultimate: Core Fighters and Tekken Revolution.

Mirror's Edge 2: What took you so long?

After months, perhaps years of rumors about a new Mirror's Edge we got on the last E3 finally our redeeming answer. Mirror's Edge 2 is coming to the next-gen consoles and during the EA press conference we were the first to see the images. But why the hell do we have to wait for a sign of life so long?

According to Patrick Söderlund, the executive vice president of the EA Games label, it has to do with the change to Mirror's Edge. Part two is still a first person action adventure, but is different than the first part. The next-gen hardware was a need for the title. He says:

     "It will be a different Mirror's Edge than you have seen before. It's taken this long Because we

wanted to get to the right concept and the right idea. Sara Jansson who is a producer on it, when she pitched her idea to me I was frankly blown away. She pitched an idea That frankly could only be built on 4 gene, is a stunning concept, and when she came to us we knew we had it. It will be a very innovative game That people, I think, will be surprised by what we show. I'm genuinely excited by it. "
All we know so far is  that Mirror's Edge 2 is going to get an open world . Here this is what we know ! Hopefully at gamescom some more info and footage!

Gran Turismo THE MOVIE !! ??

I've never ever ever heard someone say they play Gran Turismo for the cool story line, what about you? Yet there is a genuine Gran Turismo film in production! Lots of info isn't there yet, but it is known that the producers of The Social Network and Fifty Shades of Grey work. The GT movie WTF really, the producers of 50 Shades? 

Last week there were already rumors about the GranTurismo film, but now Sony has thus been confirmed. Weird, but true.

 

Sony confirmed a Gran Turismo movie is indeed in development. When approached about reports, a Sony Computer Entertainment UK spokesperson told us the Gran Turismo film is "being made," adding the company doesn't have any further comment.

Producers Mike de Luca & Dana Brunetti (Fifty Shades of Grey) are reportedly going to work on a film based on one of Sony’s biggest video game franchise, Gran Turismo; from Polyphony Studios.

Sony is looking to cash in on the “fast cars” movies currently being dominated world-wide by Universal’s Fast & Furious films. Dreamwork’s is also working on a movie about fast cars and video games – Need for Speed, starring Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul.

Gran Turismo has sold over 70 million copies of its game world-wide and has the name recognition to give this film a fighting chance.

Free PS4 Devkits for dev's !!

fifafreakz comes with a rumor about the PlayStation 4 that can be very favorable for indie devs!  Further more  different strategy guides GTA V, The Last of Us a cube, Gran Turismo film, Mirror's Edge 2 and inFamous: Second Son.

Free PS4 devkits?

Even with the sweat in the cleft freakz has again succeeded to find a good rumor that this week can start in style. It involves providing expensive PS4 devkits to indie developers! The fact that Sony seems all is not afraid to borrow a PS4 devkit instead that devs a must buy one.

According to rumors the PS4 devkit costs about $ 2500, but Sony also lends absolutely free PS4 devkits out to developers who want to develop a game. A dev who unfortunately will remain anonymous says:

   "All the indies know I got them for free. Sony has been amazing about kits and development osmanthus far. Sony is focused on loaners, rather than collecting fees. They are handing them out like candy."

Sony has had great success with indie games on the PS3 and it's clear that Sony wants to continue this on the PlayStation 4. Free devkits, it should not be crazier. What the PS3 devkits expense at launch? A whoppin ' 
$ 10,000!
