Mirror's Edge 2: What took you so long?

After months, perhaps years of rumors about a new Mirror's Edge we got on the last E3 finally our redeeming answer. Mirror's Edge 2 is coming to the next-gen consoles and during the EA press conference we were the first to see the images. But why the hell do we have to wait for a sign of life so long?

According to Patrick Söderlund, the executive vice president of the EA Games label, it has to do with the change to Mirror's Edge. Part two is still a first person action adventure, but is different than the first part. The next-gen hardware was a need for the title. He says:

"It will be a different Mirror's Edge than you have seen before. It's taken this long Because we

wanted to get to the right concept and the right idea. Sara Jansson who is a producer on it, when she pitched her idea to me I was frankly blown away. She pitched an idea That frankly could only be built on 4 gene, is a stunning concept, and when she came to us we knew we had it. It will be a very innovative game That people, I think, will be surprised by what we show. I'm genuinely excited by it. "
All we know so far is  that Mirror's Edge 2 is going to get an open world . Here this is what we know ! Hopefully at gamescom some more info and footage!

Microsoft gives some details price at Comic Con

Last weekend was the San Diego Comic Con, one of the biggest comic fairs in the world if not the largest.
And because it is so great there are involved more and more elements. For example, the get games and gaming itself get a lot of attention at the show. Not very surprising therefore that the Xbox One controller was shown there. Microsoft organized a professional panel that would show the new features of the Xbox One controller, Dead Rising 3 on Kinect and about Xbox SmartGlass , and this is what the gents did.

The names speak for themselves. The panel, led by Major Nelson, featured big names like Ken Lobb (Microsoft), Dan Greenawalt (Turn 10 Studios), Josh Bridge (Dead Rising 3), Justin Robey (Microsoft Studios) and Nick Burton (Rare). Okay, not the most objective persons bud it will do. Ken Lobb showed how to use Project Upload highlights (in this case of) Killer Instinct. Lobb also showed that the Xbox One controller through the Kinect CAMRA recognize who holds the controller. When the controller is past to another player it automatically loads the personal settings of this player.
Dan Greenawalt went deeper into the technology "under the hood" of the controller. He talked about the individual rumbles into the triggers that can give feedback on the status of your tires in games like Forza 5. Include This would allow the players better grip on the road can feel and can scan when and how hard to brake better. Josh Bridge showed some slideshows of in-game features of Dead Rising 3. He showed for example how a zombie anatomically correct was chopped into pieces. Zombies chopping is always fun and especially if there's still a bit realistic appearance of course! There was a moment when they showed how the
glass shards flew in the air and they make this very realistic in comparison with the laws of physics.
Justin Robey spoke mainly about the much talked Xbox SmartGlass. He told mainly about the possibilities SmartGlass entails. So you via Smart Glass invite people to join you and you get a notification if the other players are ready to start. Nick Burton spoke mainly about the improvements of 2.0 relative to the Kinect Kinect 1.0. Thus, the new Kinect every wrinkle in your face 'reading' and therefore he can recognize facial expressions. Also, the Kinect 2.0 see which finger which is about three meters away. Burton had to demonstrate a moment to scan his face by the Kinect 2.0 after the scan was then imported in the game. This allows players to their face, BMI and geometry import into their game effectively you yourself are that character.

Some game series always play in the same time line feeling. The Mass Effect series are more futuristic and we are used from Assassin's Creed a more historic feeling. It fits the game well and ensures repeatedly that the game scores remarkable high . Yet it is not inconceivable that the last called in the future will get a modern setting. Although  all the Assassin's Creed games we have played where in the past, bud the chance is there that the franchise going to make the turn to today's modern times.

This was tells by: Davy McDevitt, writer of Assassin's Creed. So far there's been no reason to move away from the historic atmosphere in the games because it is just one of the main points of the games. McDevitt told the Comic Con last weekend that there is always a chance that the franchise makes the transition to
modern. Nevertheless, the writer still wants to stripe an important historical period of his list. He would like to write a game in the period Feudal Japan, which took place from 1185 to 1868. "I think the Shogunate in a cool era." Said Davy McDevitt though he added immediately that it is not for one person to determine what the next setting will be. "Whatever we do, we'll make it cool." Davy McDevitt told.
